Kimberly Reid, BSN '14, majored in nursing because of her love for science and her longing to help people. At ONU, she became involved in the campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and she went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. These experiences cemented her passion to make a difference. After graduating, she worked at Cleveland Clinic before deciding to pursue a doctorate in nursing (DNP) at Ohio State University. She accepted a position on the acute leukemia unit at the James Cancer Center, and she currently is working to become a family nurse practitioner.
āNursing is challenging, empowering and, at times, even scary. But it will fill you with joy and satisfaction to know that you are making a difference. You are not only helping to save someoneās life with your knowledge; you are giving them hope and a future.ā
